Pakistan Motorway Project is originally conceived by Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, to provide a country wide link of limited access high speed highway to bring most parts of the country together which could result in greater economic growth, commercial activity and trade with ECO countries. It is envisaged that such a system of modern roads would enable Pakistan to step into the 21st century equipped with a first rate communication system.

There are estimated 500 million persons with disabilities in the world. In some countries like Pakistan the percentage of disabled population is as high as 20%. Various U.N. resolutions have consistently emphasized the rights of persons with disabilities to the same opportunities as other citizens and to an equal share in the improvement in living conditions resulting from economic and social development. On December 3rd, the people with disability, the world over, engage the attention of the government and communities to fulfill their commitments to the cause of the disabled.
